Experienced .Net Developer

At SMBology, we work on leading edge solutions for our customers using Microsoft and other technologies. We want people who are passionate about technology and can use technology to solve business problems that make a difference.

Developer will be working on a variety of small and large-scale client projects. The ideal candidate has experience with ASP.NET C# or VB and SQL Server. For many projects, the client-assigned developer will have the opportunity to evaluate a project and choose the best technology for the job. Other times, the developer will be asked to add features to existing code bases. For a candidate interested in client interaction, this position offers plenty of opportunity.

Work is done primarily from our downtown Houston office, with some remote work possibilities for the right candidate. Travel is certainly NOT required, but for those interested, we have projects around the US. Working from our Austin, TX office is also a possibility.

Requirements
Thorough understanding of software development principles, including:

	Software development lifecycle
	Software architecture knowledge; emphasis on Web apps
	Experience estimating and refining requirements
	Ability to learn new technologies quickly
	Excellent problem solving ability
	Interacts well with people and has good communication skills

Desired Qualifications/Experience

	Minimum 2 – 4 years ASP.Net (C# preferred)
	Minimum 2 – 4 years SQL (Experience with complex queries preferable)
	Experience with other front-end technologies such as HTML, Javascript, Ajax a plus
	Microsoft Certification a plus
