We receive very positive feedback on the professional design and user friendliness of both which reflect the quality of SMBology’s work.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis Phase

With a common understanding of the overall project vision, the Requirements Gathering and Analysis Phase can begin. Guided by the roadmap document from the Envisioning Phase, SMBology leads clients through a series of meetings and discovery sessions designed to discuss and recognize requirements that may or may not have been initially thought out.

The end result of this process is a detailed “blueprint” of the project. This document includes functional requirements describing what must be included in the software design in addition to use-cases detailing how the application will be utilized. Technically focused requirements are carefully outlined as well, including integration needs with external data sources, scalability needs, system capacity needs, and other technical considerations. From this blueprint document, a project timeline and cost estimate is created.

Formally outlining the project in this phase of development is crucial, ensuring there is a common understanding between both SMBology and the client and that potential errors or pitfalls are avoided.
