Project Manager

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, planning, project coordination, and management of assigned projects and clients. You will be the primary contact for our clients and bring their projects in on time and on budget. Your job duties will be as follows: 

 

Develop estimates and assist with pre-sales activities

Identify and document client business requirements

Apply critical thinking to all aspects of client operations

Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment

Develop business cases with bottom line impact
Create client presentations that are engaging and compelling

Translate client needs into project plans in coordination with developers
Develop use cases and functional specifications

Develop interface designs in coordination with software developers
Define priorities, set timelines, create incentives, meet deadlines
Hold project staff and client staff accountable for deliverables
Support agile development methods and rapid prototyping
Coordinate quality control
Work with software testers and oversee acceptance testing
Ensure application readiness, capability, and security

 

Provide project closure, final review and follow up on project opportunities

 

Be a thought-leader in the Client Services group, helping refine our processes

 

Requirements 

Excellent oral and written communications; good routine reporting habits

Demonstrated experience with clients/ being a strong customer advocate

Diligent, pleasant, and good customer-facing relationship skills

3+ years of business analyst experience

Strong requirements definition skills

Business risk analysis and mitigation experience
BA or BS; Masters preferred

Relationship building and client-focused service skills

Knowledge of project and software development life cycle

Experience across multiple operational areas

Management consulting / Big Four experience is a strong plus

Familiarity with rapid application development techniques and methods

 

3+ years working within a software organization using Microsoft technologies

 

3+ years experience as a PM and experience with one or more PM tools -OR- experience as a product manager within a software organization

 

Demonstrated experience writing requirements and prioritizing work with clients

 

Comfortable managing both small and large projects along with small development teams assigned to a project

 

Demonstrated pre-sales support activities a plus – writing proposals, demos and client presentations

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint a strong plus

Experience in a programming or development capacity a plus
