Systems Administrator

Job Description

As a Systems Administrator, you will be asked to service a variety of clients around the Houston area. You will typically work onsite at various locations in Houston and the surrounding areas, including the SMBology office located in Midtown.

Work will vary from new system deployments, virus and malware removal, server updates, and windows patches. Server work is primarily with Windows 2003 and 2008 based servers, Exchange 2003/2007, SQL Server, and various industry specific applications utilized by our clients.

Additional job responsibilities include:

	Provide existing clients with infrastructure and desktop support
	Troubleshoot network problems
	Assist with firewall, router, VPN access, switch configuration, and network cabling
	Provide onsite support to end-users, including but not limited to:
	- Mobile phone support
	- Multi-function printer issues
	- File and printer sharing
	- Other IT projects

This position requires 30-45 hours a week, depending on the individual.

Requirements

	3 years Windows Server 2003 administration
	1 year Windows Server 2008 administration
	1 year Exchange 2003/2007 administration
	1 year Cisco ASA configuration and administration
	1 year mobile phone support
	3 years desktop support
	1 year Backup Exec configuration and administration
	Must have own car and valid TX drivers license
